Special Education Behavior Intervention Services RFP

Performance Requirements/Specifications:

        1. A licensed educational and therapeutic Special Education placement for students requiring a more restrictive environment (outside of                   typical classroom/school setting) to address significant behavior challenges hindering them from accessing a FAPE. Programming will               address grades 9-12.
                  a. Capacity for 25-35 students.
                  b. Located within the City of Manchester.
                  c. Placement will align its hours of operation and curriculum with the Manchester School District calendar and curriculum guidelines.
                  d. Appropriate professionals will attend parent conferences and/or individual education plan (IEP) meetings, if invited by the District,                       to contribute to the educational program of the assigned students.

       2. A licensed educational and therapeutic Special Education placement for students requiring a more restrictive environment (outside of                  typical classroom/school setting) to address significant behavior challenges hindering them from accessing a FAPE. Programming will                address grades K-5, K-8 and/or 6-8.
                  a. Capacity for 40+ students.
                  b. Located within the City of Manchester.
                  c. Placement will align its hours of operation and curriculum with the Manchester School District calendar and curriculum guidelines.
                  d. Appropriate professionals will attend parent conferences and/or individual education plan (IEP) meetings, if invited by the District,                       to contribute to the educational program of the assigned students.

        3. Agencies submitting bids for this request may also include additional proposals and/or the incorporation of the following within their                     proposal: A licensed educational facility that can provide specialized services for students in other areas of educational disability. These             areas of educational disability, include the following as defined by the Individuals for Disabilities Education Improvement Act P.L.
            108-466: AUTISM, DEAF-BLINDNESS, DEAFNESS, DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY, EMOTIONAL DISTURBANCE, HEARING                         IMPAIRMENT, INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY, MULTIPLE DISABILITIES, ORTHOPEDIC IMPAIRMENT, OTHER HEALTH                             IMPAIRED, SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITY, SPEECH-LANGUAGE IMPAIRMENT, TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY/ACQUIRED                 BRAIN INJURY, and VISUAL IMPAIRMENT/BLINDNESS. The vendor may also include a residential placement component to the                   educational programming if viable and applicable.
                a. Capacity for 20+ students.
                b. Located within the City of Manchester.
                c. Placement will align its hours of operation and curriculum with the Manchester School District calendar and curriculum guidelines.
                d. Appropriate professionals will attend parent conferences and/or individual education plan (IEP) meetings, if invited by the District,                       to contribute to the educational program of the assigned students.
