4.  Question:  What percent of volume is spent on the products in the

     market basket?

Answer:  The market basket is a random selection of items

representative of the standard flat rate of discount offered.  The list

represents approximately 10% of the overall School Supplies purchased

over the last twelve months.  As mentioned above, this market basket

simply represents a random selection of products, used by the

Manchester  School District in any given school year.  Again it is

important to note, its purpose is only to help illustrate examples of

supplier bid response flat rate discounts offered.  The items in this list

will not be used as the sole basis of the award.

5.  Question:  Current margin floor on the catalog discount structure?

Answer:   The Manchester School District will not accept any RFP that

     includes margin floors.

6.  Question:  Will there be margin floor requirements for the pending

     RFP?

Answer:  The Manchester School District does not allow for a margin

     floor.

7.  Question:  If each vendor is able to use their own catalog how will the

Manchester School District be able to accurately compare each offer?

Answer:  The Manchester School District will use the results of the “30

Most Frequently Ordered School Supplies List” in combination with the

flat rate of discount offered by the bidding vendor.  We will also review

all bidders’ catalogue pricing after application of the flat rate of discount

offered on randomly selected items used in the school district.  We

reserve the right to price match both brand and company brand (if

available) products available.  The pricing comparison will be brand

product vs. brand product or company brand product vs. company brand

product so as to keep the comparison as fair as possible to all bidders.
