Technical Assistance Provider to Facilitate Community Forums, and Document Processes, Findings, and Interventions Questions and Answers dated 2-27-18

Question: First, as written, it seems you are looking for discreet event support rather than ongoing project coaching and planning. In our other NMEF work, we have partnered with the district project lead in an ongoing way while bringing particular emphasis on outreach, engagement, and equity coaching.

Answer: The Manchester School District is seeking event support along with ongoing project coaching and planning, a resource who can work with the district project lead, project manager, and district staff in an ongoing way while bringing particular emphasis on outreach, engagement, and equity coaching.

Question: In addition to forums and documentation, are you also interested in TA providers working with the project team through reporting and into an implementation phase or is that yet to be determined?

Answer: According to the RFP that the Manchester School District responded to and the Nellie Mae Education Foundation awarded, the Manchester School District needs to “facilitate inclusive, participatory, and transparent district-community processes that accomplishes the following:

 1) analyze barriers to barriers to equitably preparing all students (e.g., Black and Latino students, English language learners, special education students, and low-income students) to graduate from high school ready for college and career,

 and

 2) identify student-centered practices and other appropriate interventions that will address the identified equity barriers.”[1]

The Technical Assistance Provider’s reports will include an analysis of the barriers and the identified student-centered practices and other appropriate interventions to address the identified barriers.
